Good Morning!
Just started to browse the net and do some research on stem cell research. *winks* I noticed that the head of the research proponents was the late great Chris Reeve. He was the 3rd man to don the tights and cape of the man of steel. He was a beautiful soul and a tough act to follow for other actors who doned the tights after him.
He is one of my heroes for two reasons, reason one: to me, he was and always will be Superman, reason two: he overcame one of the worst life changing accidents and lived beyond the injury that trapt him in his body.
His courage and fortitude are super heroic to me and to millions of other people out there. He gave a voice to those 1.275 million people out there in the country who suffer from injuries similar to his. It is his legacy that still moves the stem cell research movement forward and onward to the future. So that there can be more empty wheelchairs and people recovering from the impossible.
If there is anything I have learned in my 20 years of life, its this: Nothing is Impossible and Impossible is Nothing! People like Mr. Reeve will forever be in my heart and my mind, serving as reminders of greatness in the face of disaster and courage where there is so much fear.
God Bless you Chris and you're still my Superman.
Much love,
TaSunke
